Last Wednesday night we witnessed a true candlelight spectacle with fourteen classical musicians with passion for Rock at Metropool in Enschede! This skeleton-dressed orchestra rocked the concert hall with a 90 minute setlist of classical rock anthems that had a sell-out crowd headbanging and singing along.

The performance was really engaging and technically flawless. They played classics from AC/DC, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Metallica, Guns ‘N Roses, Aerosmith, System of a Down, The Cranberries, among others.

The musical interpretation of all these rock songs with an orchestral twist was perfection. The crowd was very diverse, we were surrounded by metalheads, classical fans and mainstreamers who just came to witness a great show. There was enough going on stage, there was never a dull moment.

All-in-all it was a fabulous worthwhile experience of talented musicians who are worth every penny of the ticket price.
