This spectacle takes place every year on Ascension Day. This year approximately 8000 visitors came to the centre of Vriezenveen to enjoy the music, entertainment and the beautiful weather.  With three stages between the Mardi Gras decorations, food trucks and bars, the visitors enjoyed the diversity of great music and also the activities at Randrock Junior and Randrock Dance. A widely supported, accessible music event where everyone from 2 to 102 can go crazy.  

RANDROCK is a foundation with a lot of knowledge and experience in organizing events in the cultural sector. They have been around for over 20 years now and has become an indispensable part of the activities calendar in Twente. A culturally responsible village festival were people of Vriezenveen and Twente are proud of and were hundreds of bands have found their way to in recent years.

The festival started with Tribute band Stones Sessions on the main stage, covering hits by The Rolling Stones entertaining and welcoming the crowd arriving at the festival. Next up was THE MOCKS, it was a pleasant hour that was over before you knew it. Anyone who likes genuine British Rock n Roll and garage rock from the 60’s with a ‘Mock’ twist should check this band out. Late in the evening the highlight of this festival the legendary VANDENBERG made their appearance on stage with their new bassplayer. After touring in America and recently hitting the Dutch stages with their Tour of Sin they came to Randrock to rock everyone’s socks off! As usual!

There was also a new stage this year at Randrock where we spent most of our time. The historic street of Vriezenveen – Westeinde, was transformed into a bustling BOURBON STREET with Mardi Gras decorations, food trucks and a great portion of Rock and Metal music by top artists such as MARCO MENDOZA, AC/DC UK Tribute and Folk/Viking Metal Band HEIDEVOLK hitting Randrock’s stage again after 12 years! All in all it was impossible not to bang your head! 🤘
