Doom metal/ stoner rock band St. Vitus from California was one of the most noteworthy acts at the 2nd edition of Eindhoven Metal Meeting. The influential band has been around since 1979 but were inactive during 1997-2002 and 2004-2007. This cult band is characteristic for the psychedelic rock revival that is currently going on. When singer Wino asked the audience if there was anybody tripping on acid or mushrooms, there came no answer. He clearly comes from a different era. It's so good these men, with their unique sound, have reunited. Their current December tour is devoted to the memory of their late drummer, Armando Acosta (1980-1996, 2003, 2008-2009) (R.I.P. September 23, 1952 - November 25, 2010).
Line up: Scott "Wino" Weinrich - Vocals, Dave Chandler - Guitar, occasionally vocals, Mark Adams - Bass, Henry Vasquez - Drums.
